No sooner had I published a post about the necessity of off-grid lighting in our barn than this happened:
Lambing season 2024 is off and running as of February 6, 2024. The lil girl above has an even lil’er brother (occluded in the photo above). The whole fam got moved to a pen in the barn where babies can nurse and mama gets the best feed all to herself.
R Kearns DVM of course checks in on the health of mama and baby after-hours and whenever is needed…

Sometimes the comfiest spot is laying on mama’s back!
We’ll see how many more babies arrive over the next six weeks or so!
